Hello!

I’ve been supporting individuals and teams with their resilience for over 10 years and, as you will know, if you’ve had the opportunity to read ‘Agile Resilience’ I have a way of exploring resilience which is unique to each and every person that I’m coaching. Even within teams and organisations I recognise and value each individual’s relationship with resilience and meet them where they are. 

When it comes to maintaining and replenishing resilience I focus on 8 areas of life that make up the TELEGRAM model of resilience power packs that are available to everyone to provide a boost to their resilience. 

The power packs that make up the TELEGRAM model are:

Thinking – For the most part our resilience is determined by the quality of our thinking and the way that we think about our thinking. Whether you are experiencing cognitive distortions, negative thinking patterns are are just wishing to engage with more positive ways of viewing your world, I can help you to understand how your thinking is impacting on your resilience.

Emotional Intelligence – Connected to our thinking are our emotional responses to situations, our understanding of emotions and the way we process them, the way we manage our emotions and the way we interpret the emotional responses of others. I can assist you in better understanding your emotional architecture and support you in exploring how you can better navigate it.

Leisure Time – This might seem an odd element to have as an essential power pack of resilience. However, ensuring that you have some time and space that is just for you, that serves you in finding some balance in your life is vital if you are to avoid becoming jaded and potentially burnt out. I can work with you to focus on the areas of activity in your life that are going to make your heart sing and serve to restore your resilience.

Energy – The second E power pack of the TELEGRAM model provides us with the energy that you require to sustain or replenish your resilience. That means focussing on your energy SHED: Sleep, Hydration, Exercise and Diet and nutrition. I can help you to find some balance in each of these areas, to ensure that you have the energy to be resilient enough to see you through difficult times

Growth and Learning – When it comes to resilience, your ability to learn from what you are experiencing and grow through adversity and challenge is what is going to enhance your resilience in the future and allow you to be the best version of yourself. I can support you in exploring how to learn from the difficult times and use your learning to develop and strengthen your agile resilience.

Relationships – Probably the most important of the power packs, you cannot be resilient without the support of other people. You are going to need someone on your side if you are to maintain or replenish your resilience. One of the most common areas that I work with my clients on is their relationships and how they navigate them in order to remain resilient.

Attitude – Most people think of resilience as being about an attitude of  grit, determination and inner strength, and whilst these ways of being have their place, there is another side to agile resilience that involves adaptability, self-efficacy and acceptance. I can work with you to understand when it might be helpful to use each of these attitudes in staying resilient.

Meaningful Purpose – Many people who work with me would like some clarity about the direction that they’re heading in and whether this is the right path for them. I work with my clients to help them understand the reasons why the way they think, feel and behave the way that they do and how they can connect with a sense of meaning to support their resilience.

My Approach To Coaching

I have an integrative and emergent approach to coaching.

Integrative, in that I’ve studied and utilised a wide range of coaching approaches that suit different people at different times, and draw on all that I’ve learned to support my clients in the best way possible.

Emergent, in that my coaching is led by you. I’ll walk alongside you on your journey but it’s your journey. New thoughts will emerge; new possibilities will occur to you; new options will spring forth for you to choose from. It’s a marvellous process, and we’ll work with what emerges.

Coaching, when performed well, is about empowering you to achieve transformational change in whatever form you wish to see. I will help you to focus on why your desired outcomes are important and how you can adapt your own thinking, emotions and actions to help you live your best, resilient life.

The power of my coaching comes from the increased awareness and deep understanding you will gain of yourself, and your potential future, as we generate new thinking together that will support your resilience. It is that awareness and understanding that will provide you with the motivation to work towards the well-formed outcomes and to work towards your infinite potential.

My role it to facilitate your empowerment. I believe you have untapped resources, resilience and inner strength just waiting to be awakened.

I have had the pleasure of working with some extraordinary individuals who have achieved tremendous progress in living resilient and fulfilling lives that they had never dared believe possible.

I work with my clients face to face and remotely on Zoom, so geography doesn’t present a barrier to us working together.
